     On Edmund Lake weather factors do not interfere with plans for fly fishing for Northern pike and walleye.  There are so many secluded and sheltered islands and bays that no matter the wind velocity or direction, you can find a peaceful section of water in which to work your fly or streamer.  Especially in the early part of the season when weed growth is low, walleyes and Northerns caught on a fly will fight unobstructed by vegetation.  There are few thrills more memorable than bringing a world class Northern pike to the boat on fly fishing tackle.  Many fishermen spend their entire time at Edmund Lake Lodge fly fishing and don't even bring conventional tackle with them.
